Your investment options

The Plan gives you a choice of investment options that allow you the flexibility to build your own strategy to meet your financial needs.

Depending on which funds you currently invest in, some of your investments may change. Some investments will be liquidated and reinvested in new investment options. Others will transfer to the same investment option (called a reregistration, or in-kind transfer). Different investment options may have different transfer methods, and some options may be out of the market for a day or more, while others will remain fully invested during the transition. Changes could occur during the transition period that could result in changes to the asset transfer strategy described here.

It is important that you become familiar with the various investment options that will be available in the Plan.

Information regarding each investment option’s risk, as well as its strategy and objective can be obtained in the Investment Options Guide. Please consider all investment information before choosing your investments.

For an explanation of your rights to direct investments, any Plan restrictions, and a description of the types of fees and expenses associated with your Plan account, refer to the Participant Disclosure Notice.

The Plan is intended to be a participant-directed plan as described in Section 404(c) of ERISA, which means that fiduciaries of the Plan are ordinarily relieved of liability for any losses that are the direct and necessary result of investment instructions given by a participant or beneficiary.

Fund Tiers: Overview

To make your investment decisions easier while still offering a variety of investment options, Nemours will now group funds by investing styles. You are free to choose investments from any group and mix among the groups if you would like.

The investment options in the Plan at Fidelity will be structured in four distinct groups or tiers.

The approaches vary and are intended for investors with different levels of investment experience. They are also dependent on the level of involvement you want in managing your asset mix. Remember, any of the investment options offered by your Plan are available to you at any time after the move to Fidelity is complete, so you could choose options from each tier to help meet your needs.

Tier 1: Target Date Funds

“Help me manage my investments.”

If you are looking for a single-fund solution where you choose an age-based fund and do not need to maintain the account yourself; you may wish to consider a target retirement date fund.

The American Funds Target Date Retirement Fund® Class—R6 are designed for investors expecting to retire around the year indicated in each fund’s name. The funds are managed to gradually become more conservative over time as they approach the target retirement date. The investment risk of each target retirement fund changes over time as the fund’s asset allocation changes. The funds are subject to the volatility of the financial markets, including that of equity and fixed-income investments in the U.S. and abroad. They may be subject to risks associated with investing in high-yield, small-cap, and foreign securities. The principal amount invested is not guaranteed at any time, including at or after the funds’ target dates.

Nemours has determined that any contributions for which you do not provide investment direction will be invested in the Plan’s qualified default investment alternative—the American Funds Target Date Retirement Fund® Class R-6. Your applicable account balances and future contributions will be invested in the target date fund that has a target retirement date closest to the year you might retire and assumes a retirement age of 65. The target retirement date timeline and retirement age were selected by the Plan sponsor.

Please use the guidelines in the table below to determine in which American Funds Target Date Retirement Fund® Class R-6 future contributions may be invested.

Tier 2: Core Investments—Passively Managed Funds

“I want to choose my own mix of investments.”

Passively managed funds—commonly known as “index funds”—seek to match their benchmark’s performance, rather than beat their benchmark. Because the objective is to simply mirror the holdings and return of a particular index, less research is needed, transactions occur less frequently, and expenses tend to be lower than those of actively managed funds. Ultimately, index funds are designed to provide exposure to a broad selection of securities at a relatively low cost. While these funds typically perform very similarly to the index they track, you should be aware that index funds cannot be expected to meet or beat the index’s performance.

Tier 3: Core Investments—Actively Managed Funds

“I want to choose my own mix of investments.”

Actively managed funds seek to beat, or exceed, their benchmarks. The fund managers have the flexibility to actively seek out investments that they believe will beat, or exceed, the performance of a particular index. Since actively managed strategies often involve a great deal of research, transactions within these funds tend to occur more frequently and expenses tend to be higher than those of passively managed funds.

Below is a list of the actively managed funds that will be available in the Plan beginning January 2, 2025.
